Description
Weathercock House is a house dating from the late 16th century. It features an exposed timber frame at the first floor, with painted render over brickwork on the ground floor and between the timbers. The roof is modern with stone tiles and has a half-hipped design. A central brick chimney serves the building, which has two storeys and an attic, along with a modern one-storey extension at the rear. The structure consists of three bays, and the timber frame is virtually complete throughout. At the rear, there is a central two-storey staircase block. The front elevation includes a later central gable at the attic level, which has a two-light casement window. On the first floor, there are four irregular casement windows with leaded lights set in iron and timber frames. A central modern porch with a tiled roof is present at the ground floor.
