Description

The J. Tayler monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 3 meters south of the south gable of the Church of St. James in North Wraxall. It dates from the later 18th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. The tomb features a single oval plaque on the north side, with paterae in the spandrels and fluting along the sides. The south plaque is plain but also has fluting on the sides. The monument is supported by baluster corners and has a moulded base and cornice.
