Description

Enford Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. It is constructed of brick, featuring stone raised quoins and dressings, and has a tiled roof. The building is two storeys high with attics and consists of five window bays. The central entrance has a stone doorcase that includes a six-panelled door and a fanlight, topped with a bracketed hood. To the left of the door, there is a canted bay window on the ground floor. The upper windows are fitted with moulded timber casements, and there are gable stacks.

An extension to the left is likely an earlier structure that extends one bay into the current house and includes a large inglenook fireplace with a timber lintel. This bay was rebuilt in the 18th century and extended to the right to create the present layout, which features a central stair hall flanked by dining and drawing rooms, complete with a moulded stone fireplace and stop-chamfered ogee-stopped beams. A block was added to the rear between 1811 and 1816, which has a hipped slate roof and 12-pane sash windows with concealed boxes, along with two hipped dormers on the front.
