Description

Perritt and two associated monuments are located in the churchyard, 2 to 4 meters north of the tower of the Church of St Mary. These three chest tombs date from the late 18th century to the early 19th century and are made of limestone.

From east to west, the first tomb features a corniced table with panelled pilasters and an entablature that divides raised shields. It is dedicated to Jane Perritt and another individual, though the date of death is not readable. The second tomb is similar but has pilasters adorned with rosettes and a moulded base, commemorating Roger Vatthe, who died in the 1770s. The third tomb also has a corniced table and fluted attached columns, with an entablature that divides raised octagons, and includes putti and flowers in the corners, although the inscription is not readable.
