Description
The Tanner monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, 5 metres south-west of the south-west corner of the Church of St. Michael. It dates from 1770 and is made of limestone. The tomb features a moulded table and base, with inset fluted corner pilasters. The inscription is incised within octagons, surrounded by foliage and a putto. It commemorates Marie Tanner and Jane Tanner, with oval panels on the rear.
