Description
The gateway to Wolborough House, built in 1910, is located on the south side of Berry Head Road in Brixham. It is constructed from local grey limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a red tiled roof, designed in a baronial style. The structure serves as the entrance to the drive leading up to Wolborough House. It consists of a tall wall supported by large stone corbels, which is pierced by a large segmental-headed carriage arch with a keyblock on the right side, and a lower pedestrian archway to the left. The wall extends a short distance along Berry Head Road. This gateway is included for its group value with the house.
