Description
The gateway and front wall to Worsley House is a late 19th to early 20th century structure located on the north side of Poplar Road in Cleethorpes. It features a reinforced concrete gateway and red brick walls constructed in English bond, topped with rendered coping. The central pedestrian gateway is tall and basket-arched, with a panelled front and a later 20th century wrought iron gate. The flanking wall extends two and a half bays to the left and two bays to a rounded corner on the right. Each bay includes a single-course brick band, a recessed panel, and a shallow concave coped top that ramps up to the piers. A section extending along the passage to the right has similar panelling beneath a flat-coped top. This structure is included for its group value.
