Description

The gateway and wall on the north side of the service yard at Gyrn Castle is a Grade II listed structure. It features a castellated rubble stone wall that extends in two sections from the northwest corner of the house to the east side of the main coach house and stable block. A central gateway is set at an angle to the flanking walls and is designed with a four-centred arch, with the jambs primarily made of rock-faced coursed stone. On the eastern side, at a lower level, there is a two-centred arch that corresponds to the lower-storey level of the house.
