Description
The walled garden at Gyrn Castle is a long, narrow garden situated on a south-facing sloping site, with the north wall being taller than the south wall. The west side of the garden is narrower than the east side. The walls are made of embattled rubble stone, except for the curving southwest end, which lacks battlements and is likely older. In the southwest corner, there is a polygonal castellated turret, and to the left of this turret is a segmental-headed doorway that features a replaced door with vertical ribs. The internal north wall is buttressed, and on its outer northeast side, there is an added projection. Additionally, a former garden terrace was built against the outer south wall.
