Description

Guernsey Farmhouse is a mid-17th century farmhouse with a matching mid-19th century addition. The farmhouse is constructed of rubble, with the front part rendered and all painted. It has a stone tile roof and two brick ridge chimneys. The original part of the house features a central hipped dormer. It has two ranges of hollow chamfer mullion windows with drips; a three-light window to the left and a four-light window to the right. A central, later doorway is topped with an ogee corrugated hood. The rear of the original building is similar, with a central extension creating a stair bay. A two-bay mid-19th century painted brick extension is present to the east, also with a stone tile roof. This extension features one over two, two-light hollow chamfer mullion windows to the rear, with relieving arches on the ground floor. A doorway with similar flanking windows is found to the south.
