Description
Haydon Wick Farmhouse is a building that likely dates back to the mid-17th century but underwent significant alterations in the mid-19th century. It is two storeys high with attics, constructed from rubble and topped with a slate hipped roof. The farmhouse features gable end brick chimneys and two gabled dormers that have scalloped bargeboards. On the first floor, there are four windows with small pane glazing bar divisions, and two on the ground floor, with the outer windows being sashes. A modern gabled porch is located off-centre to the left. There is also a blind window to the right of centre, which is for the stairs. At the rear, there is a T-plan extension. Inside, the farmhouse retains a 17th-century staircase with wide oak heads, a straight string, and heavy turned balusters.
