Description
This is a late 18th-century cottage located in Blandford Alley. It is a thatched building, approximately one and a half storeys high. The walls are painted rubble construction with brick dressings and brick quoins above the ground floor window lintel. Brick infill is present in the eyebrow dormers. The windows consist of two ranges: first-floor windows are two-light leaded casements; on the ground floor, one window has a modern lintel and one has a segmental head. There is a segmental-headed ledged door. The cottage features large gable end brick chimneys and a lean-to addition to the left. The rear of the building has a catslide roof. It represents a notable example of burgage plot development.
