Description
The stable and dairy block, located about 6 metres northeast of Monkswood, dates from the late 17th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. It is constructed of rubble with stone dressings and features a triple-roll tiled roof, with corrugated iron on the eastern side. The 1½ storey dairy includes two doors with timber lintels and a loading door positioned under the eaves. The two-storey stable has two doors with timber lintels, with an oval bull's eye window in a rectangular surround and strap moulding on each side, as well as two loading doors under the eaves. The gable end to the east has a former pigeon loft entry that is now covered with timber and corrugated iron. Inside, the stable features a four-bay roof supported by principal rafters and collars.
