Description

Number 4 Castle Street is a mid-18th century building. It features roughcast render and a double Roman tile roof, with brick stacks at the gable ends. The structure is two storeys high with an attic. There are two windows, and on either side of the doorway, there are two-storey canted bays with flat roofs that lack cornices, featuring glazing bar sashes on three sides and moulded frames. The attic includes two dormers with cloth casements and a central rooflight. The doorway is semi-circular arched, with a small keystone and imposts, and has a fanlight above. It is topped with an open semi-circular moulded hood supported by brackets.
