Description

13 The Plain is an early to mid-19th century building located on the north side of The Plain in Thornbury. The exterior is rendered and lined out to resemble ashlar, with rendered end stacks and a slate roof featuring copings. The building stands three storeys tall and has three windows. The second-floor windows are glazing bar sashes, with six panes in the upper sash and three panes in the lower sash. On the first floor, there is a central glazing bar sash window flanked by canted bays that have large pane sashes, topped with a hipped slate roof. The ground floor features canted bay shop windows and a central door, all beneath a flat roof with a cornice and fascia above. The parapet displays painted lettering that reads "Thornbury."
