Description

Number 9 on The Plain is an early 19th-century building. It features a rendered exterior and a shallow slate roof, which includes a recent rooflight. The building has a parapet with coping and a brick stack located between Nos 8 and 9. There are end pilasters, and the structure is two storeys high with two windows. The first floor has glazing bar sash windows, one with 12 panes and the other with 16 panes. On the ground floor, there is a recent wide bow window with a fascia. The entrance door includes a fanlight and is topped by an open triangular hood supported by brackets.
