Description

This is a 17th-century house with 19th-century additions, located in Thornbury. The house is built of colour-washed random rubble, with a pantile roof and rubble end stacks. It is two storeys high with an attic containing two gables. There are three windows, with 3- and 4-light casements featuring stone surrounds in an ovolo mould, and iron opening lights on the first and second floors. The ground floor has two 17th-century canted bay shop windows with corniced flat roofs. The main doorway has a moulded frame and a panelled door with two glazed upper panels. To the right of the main door is a late 18th- or early 19th-century door with raised and fielded panels (the top two panels glazed), set within a brick architrave and a flat hood supported by wooden brackets.
