Description

No. 6 The Plain is a detached house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, located on a corner site. The building features a single-storey shop added to the front, which obscures the right-hand side of the front facade. It stands two storeys high with an attic and includes two dormers. The house has three windows, which are glazing bar sashes. The central entrance is a six-panel door, with the upper four panels now glazed, and it is sheltered by an ogee section canopy. The gable ends have parapets and stone copings. Additionally, there are three sash windows in the gable end facing St John's Street. The attached front wing is not included in this description.
