Description

These are early 19th-century buildings on the north side of St John’s Street in Thornbury. They are rendered with slate roofs and have a large, rendered stack. The buildings consist of two bays, each with two storeys and two windows. The ground floor originally contained shop windows; No. 3 retains a moulded outer frame and a vestigial cornice on its shop window. The first floor windows are glazing bar sashes. The doors are six-panelled with rectangular windows above, and have wooden hoods supported on carved wooden brackets. No. 1 has an adjoining wing to the left, featuring a cambered archway for a wide entrance and a loading door at first-floor level.
