Description

This is a chest tomb located 4 yards from the west door of St. James' Church, dating from the mid-18th century. It is made of limestone ashlar and features an enriched front panel with C-scrolls and flowers, along with corner balusters and a moulded plinth and cornice. The chest tombs are a notable collection of local and classical tomb designs and significantly enhance the setting of the church.
