Description
This chest tomb, located 10 yards to the north of the north aisle of St. James' Church, dates from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and features illegible oval and square inscribed panels, channelled corner pilasters, and a moulded cornice. The chest tombs are a notable collection of local and classical tomb designs and significantly enhance the setting of the church.
