Description
Horton Farmhouse is a mid-17th century farmhouse built in rubble with a Cotswold stone slate and 20th-century tiled roof. It has an L-shaped gabled design and features two storeys with attics, characterized by steep gables on the northwest and northeast elevations. The northwest elevation has two 20th-century casement windows and a lean-to on the ground floor. The northeast elevation includes three 20th-century windows and two doors. Inside, the farmhouse has stop-chamfered beams, a hall fireplace with a heavy chamfered lintel and chamfered stone jambs, and a first-floor cellar chamber with a blocked fireplace featuring a chamfered four-centred head. The roof structure consists of tie and collar beam trusses and butt purlins.
