Description

Tungrove Farmhouse is an early to mid-17th century farmhouse that has been altered in the 20th century. The farmhouse is rendered, with a slate roof. It features a central stack with paired diagonal ashlar chimneys, and rendered end stacks. The building is two storeys high with attics in two steep gables. There are two 20th-century 2- and 3-light casement windows. A central, gabled, 20th-century projecting porch has been added. A projecting, three-storey polygonal stair turret is located at the rear. (The east wing is not included in the listing.) It exemplifies a typical, though somewhat altered, example of a gabled vernacular farmhouse.
