Description

Dunge Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse that was altered in the 19th century. It is built with a rendered exterior, a single-roman tiled roof featuring a ceramic ridge cresting and brick gable end stacks, and coped verges. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three windows on the front. A central gabled porch contains a four-panelled door, with a three-light casement window to the left and two three-light casement windows to the right. A continuous lintel string course runs along the front. The first floor has a three-light casement window on either side of a central two-light casement window. On the left return, there are two recessed chamfered mullioned casement windows with hoodmoulds on the ground floor, and a blocked mullioned casement on the first floor. The right return has an attached 20th-century conservatory and a blocked mullioned casement with a hoodmould. A two-storey, gabled rear wing from the 19th century features casement windows.
