Description
Whitewood Farmhouse is a mid-17th century farmhouse that was remodelled in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of rendered rubble with a slate and tiled roof, featuring rendered end stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high with attics accommodated in hipped dormers. The front elevation has three three-light casement windows with cambered heads; the outer windows are set back within full-height, plain recesses. A central panelled and glazed door is sheltered by a 20th-century glazed lean-to. There are three gabled rear wings. Internally, the farmhouse retains chamfered beams with run-out stops, and a large fireplace with a chamfered lintel.
