Description
Grey House and gatepiers date to 1718. The house is constructed of rubble with freestone quoins and dressings, and has a tiled roof. It is two storeys high with a further two attic levels defined by two gabled dormers. The front elevation has five two-light casement windows, each set within ovolo moulded surrounds with mullions and continuous dripmoulds. A late 19th-century door is centrally positioned under a flat stone hood supported by brackets. A cartouche above the door displays the date 1718 and the initials "WWH". A rear stair tower and wings extend from the main body of the house. The front gatepiers are of ashlar construction, square in plan, with moulded caps and ball finials.
