Description

Little Thatch is an 18th-century house, now a public house, located on Wells Road in Whitchurch, Bristol. The house is constructed of painted uncoursed Pennant rubble with brick gable stacks and a thatched roof. It has a double-depth plan and originally a two-window front. A central doorway is sheltered by a thatched canopy. The windows are largely 20th-century double casements, with a concrete lintel above the widened lower left window. The left-hand gable features two small ground-floor windows. A single-story former stable block extends forward on the right-hand side, with a single door and window. A 20th-century extension is present at the rear. The interior has been extensively modernised.
