Description

Newbarn Farmhouse is probably a 17th-century farmhouse, substantially remodelled in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. It is constructed of rubble with a slate roof featuring coped raised verges and brick end stacks. The farmhouse has two storeys and attics, with gabled dormers. The front has three French windows with outer lights at ground floor level, and further glazing bar sash windows above. A verandah runs across the ground floor. A semi-circular projection, which housed a bread oven, is located to the left of the centre of the front. A rear wing is also attached to the main structure.
