Description

This chest tomb, dating from the 17th century, is located 4 yards north of the north door of St. James' Church. It is made of limestone ashlar and features low square sides with a top slab that is coarsely cut and has become illegible over time. The chest tombs in this area represent a notable collection of both local and classical tomb designs, significantly enhancing the setting of the church.
