Description

The Bennett Chest Tomb, located 5 yards northwest of the vestry of St. Leonard's Church, is a chest tomb commemorating Daniel Bennett, who died in 1794. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and features oval inscribed panels, fluted corner pilasters, and a moulded plinth and cornice. This chest tomb is part of a notable collection of local and classical tomb forms, significantly enhancing the church's setting.
