Description
Old Court Cottage is a pair of estate cottages built around 1850-1855 for the Earl of Ducie's estate. They are constructed from rubble and feature a slate roof with overhanging bracketed eaves and brick stacks. The cottages are single-storey with attics, which include four gabled dormers. The façade consists of four bays, with 2- and 3-light casement windows that have chamfered mullions and under drip stones. There is a 1-2-1 light bay window on the right side. A central gabled projecting porch is present, along with an additional porch on the east gable. These cottages are part of an important group that includes the church, green, and estate yard.
