Description
Tortworth House is a rectory that has been converted into a private residence. It was built in the mid to late 18th century and extended in the early 19th century, with restorations carried out in the 20th century. The exterior is rendered and features a double Roman tiled hipped roof. The main block consists of two storeys, a basement, and attics with hipped dormers. It has five bays with glazing bar sash windows. The central entrance has a panelled door with an overlight, set within a projecting doorcase that includes a pediment. To the left of the main block is a two-storey, three-bay wing from the early 19th century, with the final bay projecting slightly and topped with a pediment.
