Description

Larkspur Old Court Cottages are a pair of estate cottages built around 1850-1855 for the Earl of Ducie's estate. They are constructed of rubble with a slate roof featuring overhanging bracketed eaves and brick stacks. The cottages are single storey with attics, showcasing four gabled dormers. The front has four bays, with 2- and 3-light casement windows that have chamfered mullions and under drip stones, along with a 1-2-1 light bay window to the right. There is a central gabled projecting porch and an additional porch on the south gable. These cottages are part of an important group that includes the church, green, and estate yard.
