Description

The Noddy House is a house that was originally four estate cottages for retired workers. It dates from the early 19th century and may be a remodelling of 17th-century cottages. The building is constructed of rubble with a double Roman tiled roof and features brick stacks. It has two storeys and attics, comprising five bays with 2-light casement windows and a central plank door, all set under brick segmental heads. Avening Green appears to have developed as an informal estate hamlet.
