Description
This stable, located about 20 metres west of Dodington Manor, was built in 1841 and has undergone some alterations since. It is constructed of limestone rubble that is rendered, leaving a rubble plinth, and features stone dressings and slate roofs with raised coped verges. The central block includes a cart entry with a segmental head, impost blocks, and a keystone, with a bull's eye window on each side. Above the cart entry, there is a 2-light window with 6 panes in each light, set in a flat ashlar surround, and a datestone above with brackets and a pigeon loft entry, all topped by a gable. Each side of the central block has a lower wing that contains a multi-pane window and a door. The left side has an external stair leading to a loading door, while the rear features two central multi-pane windows at the first-floor level. The interior is not accessible.
