Description

The stone stile located to the west of The Laurels and adjacent to sections of the flanking walls is known locally as a "Gloucestershire Stile." It is situated at the base of steep steps that lead from a footpath down to a footbridge near The Laurels, and it likely dates from the early to mid-19th century. The stile consists of a stone slab with a hole at the base for dogs, supported on each side by rubble walls that flank the steps leading to the footpath.
