Description
Brook Cottage is a house from the mid-18th century that has undergone later alterations and additions. It is constructed of coursed rubble with stone dressings and features a double Roman tiled roof with raised coped verges, kneelers, and gable stacks. The front of the house is symmetrical, standing two storeys high with three windows. On the ground floor, there are two three-light casements with flat mullions and hood moulds, flanking a central plank door set in a stone bolection-moulded surround. The first floor has two three-light casements in the same style, with a central window that has only two lights, all of which are casement windows. The left and right sides of the building have blocked two-light attic windows with plain surrounds and hood moulds. At the rear, there is a ground floor window with two lights and a hood mould, similar to those at the front, along with a two-light casement situated under the eaves. There are single-storey lean-tos on both the right and left sides, each featuring a door and a window on the left side.
