Description

Lilliput Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with later alterations and additions. It is built of coursed rubble with stone dressings and features a plain tiled roof with raised coped verges and kneelers, along with gable stacks. The front of the building is symmetrical, consisting of 2½ storeys and five windows. The ground floor has four stone cross windows that include bolection-moulded mullions, transoms, and surrounds, with a central 20th-century door set in a bolection-moulded architrave. The first floor features all 2-light windows with bolection-moulded mullions and surrounds, all fitted with 20th-century glazing. A moulded string course runs above the lintels at both ground and first floor levels.

On the right side of the building, there is a 2-light window on both the ground and first floors; the ground floor window has a flat mullion and iron stanchions, while the first floor window matches those on the front. There are two 20th-century windows at attic level. The left side has a 2-light window on the ground floor, similar to the front, and a 20th-century 2-light casement in a chamfered stone surround with a timber lintel, along with an oven projection to the right of the stack. The rear of the farmhouse features a catslide roof down to ground floor level, one 20th-century window, and a small single-storey extension. The interior has not been inspected.
