Description
Goudie's Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 17th century. It is constructed of rubble with freestone dressings and features a stone slate roof with coped raised verges and ashlar stacks. The building has two storeys and attics in hipped dormers on the left side, while the right side has a single storey and attic in a steep gable.
The left section of the farmhouse has three windows on the ground floor and four on the first floor, all of which are two- and three-light casement windows with ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds, topped with dripmoulds that are continuous on the first floor. There is a 20th-century door located off-centre. The right section features two restored two-light casements beneath a continuous string course, along with a single storey entrance wing on the left.
Inside, the left room on the ground floor boasts a large ashlar fireplace set within a bolection moulded surround, topped with a moulded mantelshelf supported by brackets.
