Description

This is a chest tomb dedicated to Joseph Powney, who died in 1836. It is located in the churchyard to the west of St. Mary Magdalene's Church. The tomb is made of sandstone ashlar and features an inscribed square plaque along with fluted pilasters. It is topped with a moulded cornice and stands on a square plinth. The monument is signed by Emett of Frenchay.
