Description
This is a chest tomb located approximately 3 metres north of the chancel of the Church of St Peter, dating from the mid-19th century. It is made of sandstone ashlar and features a plain plinth. The tomb has recessed panels with an incised border and re-entrant quadrants, as well as vertically incised corner piers adorned with scalloped intermittent bands. The lid is flat and commemorates John Pugh, who died in 1859, and Mary Pugh, who died in 1864. The tomb is included for its group value.
