Description

This is a chest tomb located approximately 6 metres east of the chancel of the Church of St Peter and St Paul, likely dating from the mid 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features recessed corners with broad baluster-type pilasters that support a lid with a cyma-moulded edge. Each side of the tomb has raised and fielded panels. The lid contains a sunken panel that once held a commemorative plaque, which is now missing. The lid is also noted to be split.
