Description
The walls, gates, and gate piers enclosing the forecourt of Ashwicke Hall date from around 1857 to 1860. They consist of low coursed rubble walls with ashlar piers at intervals and ashlar coping, topped with a balustraded parapet. The central square ashlar gate piers feature a cornice and a ball finial on a pedestal. There are central wrought iron gates. The return walls to the north and south curve upwards, extending four times for approximately 100 yards to the south and once for about 15 yards.
