MARSHFIELD C.P. ASHWICKE PARK - Walls enclosing former Walled Garden and gate 40 yards to north-east of Ashwicke Hall

Walls enclosing former walled garden, now occupied by a swimming pool. Circa 1857-60. Coursed squared rubble walls with ashlar coping. Approximately 8' high. Gateway in centre of south-west side: chamfered 4 centred arch with crested parapet and saddleback capping; decorative cast iron gate. Smaller pedestrian gateways to the north-west and south-east walls: chamfered pointed arch with a gable over which is surmounted by a square crested turret.
