Description

This is an early to mid-19th century village house located on Horsham Lane, Tamerton Foliot, Plymouth. The front is slatehung onto a rubble base. The remaining walls are of local rubble with shallow, segmental brick arches, and the roof is covered in slate, with a hipped section on the right. Rendered stacks are present at both ends of the original house. The house has a double-depth plan, incorporating a raised rear lean-to that was originally part of the house, and a single-depth extension added in the late 19th century to the right.

The house presents a symmetrical front with an overall 4-window range for the original section and a single-window range for the extension. The original part features original 12-pane hornless sash windows, and a central doorway within a small, 20th-century glazed porch. The extension has late 19th-century 4-pane horned sash windows. The return side has a single-window range, with a blocked doorway on the left and a doorway on the right containing an early 19th-century door with incised decoration. The interior was not inspected but is likely to contain features of interest.
