Description
This early 19th-century house is located on Boringdon Terrace, near Plymstock and Turnchapel. The exterior is incised stucco with stucco detailing, and it features a fairly steep dry slate roof concealed behind a tall three-bay parapet. There are stuccoed end stacks and a brick stack over the rear gable of a wing. The house has a double-depth plan with a service wing set at a right angle to the rear left.
The façade has two storeys and a two-window range. It features a plinth, moulded string, a moulded entablature over square Corinthian corner columns, and architraves on sill blocks framing late 19th or 20th-century 12-pane horned sash windows. The left-hand return has a distyle entrance porch with a moulded entablature and square columns with moulded capitals. The porch now contains 20th-century glazed doors, with earlier sides blocked, and the original inner door is of fielded panel construction. A tall stair sash window is located to the left of the porch.
The interior was not fully inspected, but panelled shutters and an original staircase with stick balusters were noted.
