Description

Clover Cottage is a small house dating to the 17th century, located on the south side of Yonder Street in Plymstock, Hooe (Lower). The exterior is characterised by incised stucco and render on a rubble base, with a very steep dry slate roof and large rubble end stacks. Originally built with a 2-room plan and a central cross or through passage, it now includes a 20th-century single-storey extension to the left. The front elevation is slightly asymmetrical, featuring two 20th-century windows. An old planked door leads to the central doorway. A semi-circular oven projection is visible on the right-hand return end. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to retain original structural features of interest.
