Description
Elmleigh is a detached house dating from the 18th century, located on Church Road in Plymstock, Plymouth. The exterior features slate hanging on what is likely rubble, with steep dry slate roofs. There are two parallel roofs: the front roof has half-hipped ends, and a lower roof is set back on the right. Brick end stacks, some of which are rendered, are present. To the left, there is a flat-roofed wing with a parapet. The house has a double-depth plan under these two roofs and stands two storeys high. It has a three-window range, with an additional one-window range on the left and a single-storey one-window extension in front of the presumed service wing on the right. The original part of the house features 12-pane, 2-light casements on the first floor and 12-pane hornless sashes on the ground floor, along with a 20th-century glazed door on the right. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
