Description

This is an early 19th-century house, located at 2 and 2A Roborough Close, Crownhill, Plymouth. The house is constructed of stucco with a dry slate hipped roof, featuring projecting eaves and a rendered stack on the left side and at the rear right. It has a single-depth plan to which a later wing was added at the rear left.

The two-storey, symmetrical front has three windows and rusticated quoins, with a mid-floor string course. The original windows are 12-pane hornless sashes, and the front door is within a 20th-century polygonal glazed porch.

The interior was only partially inspected, but includes an open-well staircase with an open string and a mahogany handrail. The house is likely to contain other original features of interest.
