Description
Sterts Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with a 20th-century extension. It features rendered rubble or rubble and cob walls and a thatched roof, except for an outshut on the front left. There are two rendered rubble stacks, one left of centre and one on the right. The original layout was likely a three or four-room plan that included a service room in an integral outshut at the rear right, along with a rear stair wing containing a stone newel stair. The building has two storeys and a two-window range. There is an original three-light granite mullioned window on the ground floor to the right, while the rest of the windows and a small porch are from the 20th century. The interior has not been inspected but may still have original floor and roof structures.
